Tool

Moving Timeline Builder

Generate a practical countdown from your move date.

Timeline

Choose a move date.

How to use this timeline

Use the generated dates as a planning scaffold, then adjust for lease dates, building access, mover availability, school schedules, and utility appointment windows. The timeline does not replace contracts or local requirements.

What to confirm manually

  • Elevator, loading dock, and parking windows.
  • Mail forwarding and account address changes.
  • Written mover quote details and inventory assumptions.
  • First-night essentials, keys, documents, and chargers.

Timeline adjustment rules

Move the generated tasks earlier when you need building approval, freight elevator reservations, school changes, cross-border paperwork, storage access, or multiple provider quotes. Move low-risk packing tasks later only when essentials, documents, medications, chargers, keys, and first-night supplies are already separated. If a deadline comes from a lease, utility, postal service, or provider contract, use that source date rather than the generic timeline.

Timeline record log

After the move, record which tasks were too early, too late, or missing. Keep confirmation emails, mover messages, mail-forwarding confirmations, utility shutoff dates, and access approvals in your private move folder. Those records make the next timeline more useful without pretending a generic countdown fits every building or country.
